The 2010 general census of population team finished completion of data survey from total of 13.680 sample address survey (household sample survey) target of 15 thousand addresses. Central Informatics Organization President Dr. Mohamed Al Amer said that the field team after a month of starting the census was able to visit about 90% of Bahraini and non-Bahraini families addresses, which was chosen at random, including all society classes and segments and all Kingdom governorates, adding that the response rate with the action teams was estimated at 97.7% in all governorates. Al Amer said that after the announcement of census, groups began working according to the plan, consisting of 156 field researchers and work teams distributed between supervisors and field researchers as well as a call center to contact with population to fill the data in electronic form directly. Dr. Amer spoke about awareness level of citizens and residents of the importance of implementing the census and its consequences that helps the leadership to shape future plans and strategies based on population needs in various aspects of life. Central Informatics Organization led awareness campaign coincided with census covered all the media, and access Internet and social networking sites as well as using modern communication technology to ensure access to the largest segment of the community, all this come in context of its desire to appear This national action in highest level. |
